| Zoe Saldana To Appear on “Sesame Street” | August 11th, 2010 |
The 41st season of “Sesame Street” premieres on Sept. 27, and with it comes the promise of a star-studded year.
Actors like Jason Bateman, Amy Poehler, Colin Farrell, Jude Law, Jennifer Garner, Ryan Reynolds, Kyra Sedgwick, Zoe Saldana, husband and wife team Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel, Wanda Sykes, Anna Faris, Terrence Howard and names from “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Modern Family,” “The View,” Food Network, “Today,” “The Insider” and “American Idol’s” Kara DioGuardi have all signed on to appear in different episodes of the PBS Kids television program.
Music and sports stars weren’t left off either, with Katy Perry, Reverend Run, Usher, will.i.am and NFL players Reggie Bush and LaDainian Tomlinson also on slate.
Some original pop culture parodies will include “True Mud” (“True Blood”), “The Furry Four” (as opposed to the Fab Four), “Ironing Monster” (“Iron Man”), “The Closer” (well, “The Closer”) and “A Team” (you get the idea). Reynolds will star in the latter, as the letter A.
Other teased highlights from the science-centered season include the new recurring segment “Super Grover 2.0” and some short films with NASA.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3 ON ABC Oprah Winfrey brings together some of Hollywood’s biggest and brightest Academy Award® winners and nominees to interview each other, on “The Oprah Winfrey Oscar® Special,” airing WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
The revealing and intimate interviews include 2002 Academy Award-winner Halle Berry (Actress in a Leading Role, “Monster’s Ball”) and last year’s Supporting Actress winner, Penélope Cruz (“Vicky Cristina Barcelona”), who this year is a Supporting Actress nominee for her role in “Nine.”
Academy Award-winning director James Cameron (“Titanic”), director of “Avatar,” sits down with three of the stars from the film, Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana and three-time Oscar-nominated Sigourney Weaver. “Avatar” is the recipient of nine Oscar nominations this year, including Best Picture.
Ben Affleck, who won an Oscar in 1998 for original screenplay, along with Matt Damon, for “Good Will Hunting,” chats with Jeremy Renner, who garnered a nomination for Actor in a Leading Role for “The Hurt Locker.” The film is tied with “Avatar” for the most nominations this year, at nine.
Two of the stars reunite from “Fatal Attraction,” the 1987 classic film and recipient of six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture — five-time Oscar-nominated actress Glenn Close and multiple Oscar recipient Michael Douglas. Close received an Actress in a Leading Role nomination for her part in the film.

| Space Ghost Unretires to Interview ‘Avatar’ Star | December 8th, 2009 |
Cartoon Network Star Talks to Zoe Saldana at Midnight, Dec. 13
Adult Swim animated host Space Ghost will interview a star of James Cameron’s Avatar to promote the upcoming film.
Starting tonight (Dec. 7), Adult Swim will drive viewers to tune in on Sunday night, Dec. 13, at midnight to watch Space Ghost’s interview with Zoë Saldana, who plays the lead female character, Neytiri.
The tune-in messaging and 60-second interview will be sponsored by 20th Century Fox and focus on messaging for the film.
During its time on the Cartoon Network and later Adult Swim airwaves, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, a mix of comedy, music and talk, featured cape-to-heart talks with Michael Stipe, Carol Channing, Thom Yorke and a galaxy of other guests. The show and its fearless host retired from Adult Swim late night in 2004.
The new content developed to promote Avatar will feature George Lowe, the original voice for Space Ghost.
James Cameron’s Avatar opens in theaters worldwide Dec. 18.
