Writer-director Sylvain White continues to assemble his team of Losers, with Columbus Short the latest recruit to join the Special Forces team.

The Stomp the Yard star will play Pooch, who according to The Hollywood Reporter, is “a smart-ass gunner who refers to himself in the third person and sports a tattoo of his infant daughter.”

Short joins Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Idris Elba and Zoe Saldana in the action film, which is adapted from the Vertigo/DC Comics graphic novel and follows the adventures of a rogue black ops team seeking revenge.

Joel Silver is producing The Losers alongside Akiva Goldsman, Kerry Forster and Sarah Aubrey, with Warner Bros. releasing the Dark Castle adaptation.
