Saldana is set for the lead role in “Dominion,” a supernatural thriller in which she’ll play a half-human, half-angel hybrid, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The movie, set up at Paramount, is based on a pitch from writers Dean McReary and Chester Hastings. Saldana will also produce the project.

Before she hits the big time with feature films, Ms Saldana will make her directorial debut as part of Glamour Reel Moments short film series, which is aimed at increasing the number of female directors in Hollywood.

Zoe will join Olivia Wilde and Eva Longoria, who’ll also be making their directorial debuts, working with established industry actors like Bradley Cooper, Malin Ackermann, Justin Long, Aziz Azari, and several others.

All 3 shorts will premiere in Los Angeles on October 24 at the Director’s Guild Theater, and will then be available on glamourreelmoments.com beginning on October 25.
